IVE’s Jang Wonyoung proves her top-tier status by purchasing a luxury villa in Hannam-dong’s UN Village for 13.7 billion KRW (~9.3 million USD).
According to the real estate industry and the Supreme Court Registry Office on November 12th KST, Jang Wonyoung bought a 244㎡ unit in Lucid House, located in Yongsan-gu, Hannam-dong, Seoul, this March for 13.7 billion KRW, and completed the ownership registration last month.
Given that there is no mortgage listed on the registry, it is presumed that the purchase was made entirely in cash. The seller was former Daelim Trading CEO Lee Ji Yong, a second-generation member of the DL Group.
Lucid House is the first development project of Daelim D&I, a real estate company established by Lee Hae Sung, a third-generation member of the DL Group. When it was first sold in 2017, the price already exceeded 4 billion KRW per unit, marking it as one of the most exclusive villas within UN Village. With panoramic views of both the Han River and Namsan, only 15 households reside across two buildings, offering extreme scarcity value. It also features a 24-hour security system and private elevators for each unit, ensuring exceptional privacy.
Lucid House is also known as the former residence of actress Kim Tae Hee before her marriage. In 2012, Kim purchased a 244㎡ unit in the complex for 4.35 billion KRW and sold it in 2018 for 6.4 billion KRW, earning approximately 2 billion KRW in profit over six years.
Meanwhile, born in 2004, Jang Wonyoung has cemented her position as IVE’s irreplaceable center, combining striking visuals with talent. This year alone, she has dominated the advertising world as the ambassador for brands such as Woori Bank, Malto, Binggrae, Dyson, Dashing Diva, Barer, JIM BEAM, and New Balance.
