Former T-ara member Hyomin has revealed that her mother-in-law is none other than essayist Lee Suk Jin, following earlier news that her husband is a finance executive ten years her senior.
On November 23, Hyomin shared a glimpse of her newlywed weekend life through her social media account. She posted photos taken in her home study overlooking the Han River, including several books. She added the caption, “A Sunday afternoon with the books written by my mother-in-law,” confirming that her husband’s mother is essayist Lee Suk Jin.

Hyomin married her husband, a finance professional ten years older than her, at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul this past April. Her husband graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in industrial engineering and is currently an executive director at the Korean office of a global private equity firm, drawing attention at the time of their marriage.
Hyomin previously described him by saying, “He may not be a handsome actor type, but he’s a wonderful man in my eyes.”
Hyomin debuted with T-ara in 2009 and has since been active as a singer with numerous hits as well as acting in dramas and films.
