Fans are expressing concern over BABYMONSTER's Rami, after a shocking move at the '2025 MAMA Awards.'
On November 28, BABYMONSTER made an appearance at the MAMA Awards, winning a Fans' Choice Award as their hit song 'DRIP' was played. Due to Rami's ongoing hiatus, she was not present. But what shocked fans wasn't just Rami's absence - it was her complete exclusion from the recorded song. Fans quickly noticed that Rami's voice had been removed from 'DRIP' as it was played during BABYMONSTER's reward acceptance, sparking anger and worry.
Rami has been on hiatus since May 2025, with BABYMONSTER's company, YG Entertainment, citing health reasons. While YG has never specified what health problem Rami is experiencing, they stated that her health issues have been ongoing for a long time, and that treatment has not improved her condition.
As fans patiently wait for Rami's return, unease has grown due to Rami's complete absence from group content. Rami has not been included in any of BABYMONSTER's YouTube or variety content, new songs, or other group content. In addition, during the 8 months of Rami's hiatus, she has rarely been mentioned by the group members - aside from a quick mention by Pharitaduring an October fan meeting, where she stated that Rami is "still unwell but getting better" when asked by a fan.
BABYMONSTER's MAMA appearance raised even more alarms for fans, as the group did not mention Rami at all in their acceptance speech. With Rami's removal from the group's reward acceptance song and complete absence from content for the last 8 months, fans are continuing to grow more worried over Rami's future in the group.
