On November 16, solo artist eaJ held his second show in the Philippines with his '1/9' concert, following his earlier 'when the rain stopped following me' concert in 2024.
The '1/9' show featured eaJ's clear, soothing vocals, as he performed beloved tracks including "right where you left me," "friendly fire," "in my civic," "castle in the sky," "when the rain stops," "pacman," and "Car Crash." And it wouldn't be an eaJ show without his most honest, genuine thoughts and messages to his fans.
eaJ expressed his gratitude, stating, "You guys are amazing, as I remember. Thank you." He added that he was motivated to find ways to give fans more because "you guys have given me so much." This led eaJ to bring in a live band for the show, elevating the fans' concert experience to the next level.
He echoed a sentiment that proves his love for performing, stating that even if there were only 10 people at the show, those attendees would have "gotten the best show either way." eaJ said, "We wouldn't be able to do this without you. Thank you to the people who come and support us."
He also shared his concern regarding the rising cost of concert tickets in the live music industry, confessing, "That doesn't make sense to me." He added, "How do you have people that give you so much love and you say, 'Nah, I'm just gonna charge them more'?"
"I don't think that's what art is about. I think music is art, and art is about community. It's about us."
As eaJ continued his set, with fans passionately singing along, he repeatedly showed his gratitude and appreciation for the crowd's energy. He told the audience, "This has been a magical experience so far. Manila, you might be the only exception tonight."
eaJ's '1/9' tour in Manila was presented by Three Angles Production.
