Singer DinDin issued a personal statement regarding the sudden collapse of a study-campaign app he previously promoted.
On November 25, DinDin posted a message on his personal account, beginning with, “Hello, this is DinDin.”
He continued, “This afternoon, my agency released an official statement addressing my participation in the ‘Part-Time Study’ campaign, which I took part in from November 10 to 16. I first learned about the situation during a YouTube livestream at around 7 PM yesterday, and immediately began checking the facts after filming ended. During that process, I discovered that all communication with the ‘Part-Time Study’ team had been cut off, and that most of the victims were students or job seekers.”
DinDin explained, “I took part in the campaign believing it to be a positive and meaningful project. Upon reviewing it, I also found that similar services were already operating widely on the market, and the company had even discussed the possibility of additional content collaborations. As a result, it was difficult to anticipate any issues. However, I was informed that it would be realistically impossible to compensate only the users who signed up specifically through my campaign between November 10 and 16.”
He added, “What I can do right now is help make the victims’ situation more widely known and offer support in any way I can. I heard that there is a group chat for ‘Part-Time Study’ victims. If you have been affected and don’t know how to proceed, please join the group chat and make sure to register your claim within the app.”

DinDin further stated, “My team and I are continuing to try to contact the ‘Part-Time Study’ operators, and we will do our best to ensure a resolution is reached as soon as possible. I sincerely apologize to anyone who suffered damage after trusting me and joining the campaign. I will work to support the victims. I also apologize for the delay in releasing my statement, as I was in the middle of scheduled activities and only learned of the situation late.”
Part-Time Study is an app aimed at exam takers, where users deposit a participation fee and receive the amount back with an additional reward if they meet their study-time goals. The business abruptly shut down after refund requests stopped being processed, leaving many students facing financial losses. Some have raised suspicions that the operation may have been a Ponzi-style scam.
