Actress Lee Joo Bin revealed that she suffered unexpected damage after her widely known “legendary ID photo” was misused in multiple fraud cases.
Lee Joo Bin appeared on a recent episode of ‘Life 84’, a YouTube channel hosted by Kian84, released on the 25th, where she shared updates about her life and opened up about the incident.
The two filmed a date-themed shoot at Seoul Land, engaging in candid and lighthearted conversation. When Kian84 brought up an ID photo of Lee Joo Bin taken in 2017, saying, “This photo became really famous, didn’t it?” she cautiously replied, “I thought it would be a good thing that it became popular, but it actually ended up being stolen.”

She went on to explain that the photo had been used as a profile image by various scam groups, including call center agents, insurance salespeople, investment promoters, and used-car dealers.
Lee Joo Bin said, “They used my face to deceive people into investing. They even forged an ID card with my photo, and I actually received a notice to appear in court.”
She also shared that her agency received repeated inquiries asking whether she had been involved in investment fraud, and that multiple cases involving the same photo were confirmed. After hearing her story, Kian84 lightened the mood by joking, “Your face just looks too trustworthy. If you tried to sell me something, I’d probably buy it.”
Born in 1989, Lee Joo Bin made her acting debut in 2017 through the SBS drama ‘Whisper’. She has since gained wide recognition through works such as ‘Be Melodramatic’, ‘Queen of Tears’, and the film ‘The Roundup: No Way Out’.
