TWICE’s Jeongyeon will not be participating in the group’s upcoming concert in the Philippines due to health concerns.
On October 2, TWICE posted an announcement on their fan platform Fans: “Jeongyeon will be unable to attend the ‘THIS IS FOR’ world tour concert in Bulacan on October 4 due to health reasons.”
The statement continued, “We sincerely apologize to fans who have been waiting for a long time. This decision was unavoidable, as the artist’s health and recovery are our top priorities. We ask for your kind understanding.”
TWICE confirmed that Jeongyeon will continue with the remaining world tour schedule. After Singapore on October 11, the tour will visit Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and more, continuing into North America next year.
Jeongyeon previously underwent neck disc surgery in 2020, which required a temporary break from activities. She returned in June 2021 but temporarily paused her activities two months later due to symptoms of anxiety and panic disorder.
Meanwhile, TWICE is set to release their special album 'TEN: The Story Goes On' on October 10.
