TEMPEST appeared as a full group on MBC FM4U’s 'Close Friend with Lee Hyun' on October 28th KST.
During the broadcast, the members talked about their seventh mini album 'As I am,' which was released on October 27th. They discussed how their visuals have changed compared to their previous album, which member best fits the new concept, and shared candid stories that brought smiles to listeners.
The group also opened up about the title track “In The Dark.” They said, “We were worried at first because it’s such a different style from what we’ve done before, but as we practiced, we realized it actually suits us well.” They also revealed their favorite lyrics, with one member commenting, “The line ‘Even when I take a moment to breathe, I still don’t know’ feels like it’s about me,” offering quiet comfort to listeners.
TEMPEST went on to perform their parts of “In The Dark” live on air, delivering a heartfelt message of empathy and healing. They also shared behind-the-scenes stories from the music video — which showcases expressive modern-dance-like choreography and strong acting — connecting closely with the audience.
In addition, member Hanbin heated up the studio by performing the track “nocturnal.” The group continued the fun by picking their favorite songs and chatting with fans, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere with their sincerity and quick wit.
TEMPEST also gave a small hint about their upcoming concert in November. Member Hyungseop playfully sang a line from an unreleased song, saying, “Why do you keep going back and forth?” teasing fans with a mini spoiler that heightened anticipation.
They wrapped up by saying, “It was an honor to be on ‘Close Friend.’ We had such a fun time. Since this was our first radio appearance for this promotion, it feels like we started things off on the right foot.”
