Netflix's upcoming reality competition show, 'Physical: Asia,' is set to ignite an intense battle among legendary athletes representing eight Asian-pacific countries.
On October 10, 'Physical: Asia' unveiled the first still cuts featuring 48 representatives from South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines, showcasing the diverse physical strength and charisma of each nation's top athletes.
As the first-ever international edition of the hit 'Physical' series, the newly released stills capture the fierce presence of each team. From South Korea's unity and endurance, Japan's strategic precision, Thailand's Muay Thai spirit, and Mongolia's "Giants of the Steppe," to Türkiye’s warrior legacy, Indonesia’s explosive energy, Australia’s dominant physiques, and the Philippines’ champion bloodline. The show is expected to showcase the diversity of Asia's athletic power on full display.

'Physical: Asia' promises high-stakes challenges that push the limits of human endurance, combining thrilling quests with strategic teamwork and national pride. The competition will also highlight traditional sports athletes, including Korean Ssireum wrestlers, Mongolian wrestling champions, Turkish oil wrestlers, and Thai Muay Thai fighters.
Producer Jang Ho Gi explained, "Since this is an Asia-Pacific-wide competition, we wanted to represent each region's unique characteristics without overlap. We chose countries with a deep sports culture, strong athletic recognition, and legendary figures who represent their nations."
He added, "Each country's lineup includes athletes with various physical strengths to maintain balance and fairness, ensuring no team appears overwhelmingly strong or weaker."

The star-studded lineup includes legendary figures such as Philippine boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker from Australia, and Japanese MMA legend Yushin Okami. Representing Korea are former UFC fighter Kim Dong Hyun, Olympic skeleton gold medalist Yun Sung Bin, ssireum champion Kim Min Jae, 'Physical: 100 Season 2' winner Amotti (Kim Jae Hong), Season 1 standout and ex-national wrestler Jang Eun Sil, and Asia’s top CrossFit athlete Choi Seung Yeon.
Producer Jang described the Korean team as "not necessarily the strongest or fastest, but exceptionally united and resilient." He continued, "Japan's team, filled with elite medalists and top fighters, is extremely strategic and quick - their rivalry with Korea will be one to watch."

He also praised other teams: "Thailand's squad brings fiery energy and charisma, while Mongolia's warriors were the most feared for their unshakable strength. Türkiye impressed with its overwhelming power, and Indonesia’s intensity gave everyone goosebumps when they entered the arena. Australia’s athletes brought unmatched confidence and physical dominance, and the Philippines, united under living legend Manny Pacquiao, turned out to be the dark horse with perfect balance across all areas."
Featuring Asia’s most iconic athletes and their dynamic strategies, 'Physical: Asia' will premiere worldwide on Netflix on October 28.
