The show will also delve into Ejae’s earlier days as a former SM Entertainment trainee, offering viewers a rare glimpse into her journey before she became a sought-after songwriter and producer.
KPop Demon Hunters follows the story of HUNTR/X, a K-pop girl group who double as demon hunters battling dark forces. According to the latest Billboard charts released on October 7 (local time), the film’s title track “GOLDEN” has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks. The soundtrack album also claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, marking a historic double win across both single and album charts.
Ejae not only wrote and composed “GOLDEN,” but also provided the singing voice for Lumi, a member of HUNTR/X. Her extensive contributions include songwriting, composition, and vocals for “How It’s Done,” arrangement and vocals for “Takedown,” lyrics for “Your Idol,” and arrangement and vocals for both “Free” and “What It Sounds Like.”
A granddaughter of veteran actor Son Young Kyun, Ejae began her career as an SM Entertainment trainee before choosing to pursue songwriting. She has since collaborated with major K-pop artists such as Red Velvet, TWICE, and aespa.
Ejae will also hold a press conference in Seoul on October 15, meeting with Korean media before her appearance on 'You Quiz on the Block,' following director Maggie Kang’s recent guest feature.
