Singer and entertainer Kim Jong Kook was recently spotted at a Major League Soccer (MLS) match in Los Angeles during his honeymoon—but rather than attending with his wife, he was seen enjoying the game with friends.
On October 5 (local time), Kim attended the LAFC vs. Atlanta United match held at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Multiple fans shared photos on social media of their encounters with the star after the game, confirming his presence. Among the most talked-about moments was his warm embrace with football star Son Heung Min, which drew significant attention
Though currently on his honeymoon, Kim did not attend the event with his wife. Having frequently visited Los Angeles even before his marriage, he is known to have close ties in the city. According to reports, Kim was well aware that attending a public event with his wife could spark speculation or attempts to identify her, and opted to attend with friends instead.
Kim Jong Kook tied the knot on September 5 with a non-celebrity partner. Amid growing curiosity about his wife’s identity, rumors swirled linking her to various professions—such as a cosmetics CEO or English instructor from LA. Addressing the speculation, Kim firmly stated, “Let me be clear. I usually don’t respond, but those rumors you’re hearing—LA, CEO, all of it—they’re not true.”
The couple’s newlywed home is located in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. In April, Kim reportedly purchased a high-end villa with over 70 pyeong (approx. 2,500 sq ft) of living space for KRW 6.2 billion (approx. $4.5 million USD). The transaction, made without any mortgage or lien, indicates it was paid entirely in cash.
