Actress Han So Hee has found herself at the center of controversy after liking a social media post by Lee Jun Seok, leader of the Reform Party. The actress later retracted the like and issued a statement through her agency.
On October 7th KST, 9ato Entertainment clarified, “Han So Hee’s like on Lee Jun Seok’s post was purely a mistake and carried no political intent.”
The post Han had liked was one in which Lee refuted false accusations based on rumors and called for restraint. Lee wrote, “After receiving reports that groundless rumors—like claims that she follows my account—were spreading, I looked into it and found that certain political supporters had been actively circulating them. Once legal action was announced, one of the offenders submitted a handwritten letter of apology,” along with a photo of the letter.
Following Han’s brief interaction with the post, some online communities were quick to speculate on whether the actress was revealing a political stance. This led to a heated debate, with some accusing her of expressing political bias, while others criticized the public for overreacting and attempting to police her actions.
Meanwhile, Han So Hee recently took on the lead role in the film Project Y and made an appearance at the 30th Busan International Film Festival, where she met with audiences.
