Following fan backlash, the popular YouTube channel 'Find Your KODE' has decided to delay the release of its new content, titled 'Trip KODE'.
Earlier this month, 'Find Your KODE', best known for its popular content 'Cell Phone KODE', teased a new series titled 'Trip KODE', inviting various stars of the opposite sex to embark on a special trip together. But instead of enjoying a normal trip, the two stars are on a mission to see who can get the other guest's heart rate beating faster. It was hinted that the very first guests of 'Trip KODE' would be i-dle's Miyeon and solo artist Bae Jin Young.
However, immediately after the first episode's teaser release, fans from numerous K-Pop idol fandoms flocked to the YouTube channel to direct their discontentment. Many called the new series a revamp of the classic variety program' We Got Married', and even accused the YouTube channel of "provoking potential fan wars".
Both Miyeon and Bae Jin Young attempted to address fans' concerns respectively. Miyeon told fans via a fan communication platform, "There's nothing for you to worry about," while Bae Jin Young also explained, "It's really just a game."
Eventually, on October 16 KST, 'Find Your KODE' stated, "It has been decided that the new content 'Trip KODE', which was scheduled to be released later today, will be withheld for the time being. We sincerely apologize to those who waited for its release."
