The Kaohsiung City Government in Taiwan revealed the spectacular tourism revenue generated by BLACKPINK's DEADLINE tour, revitalizing various industries such as street shops, night markets, department stores and accommodations.

According to the Kaohsiung Economic Development Bureau, BLACKPINK's concerts generated over NT$300 Million (about US$10 million or 13.9 Billion Won) in tourism revenue, with more than 120,000 people flocking to see the superstar group perform at the National Stadium over two days.

Kaohsiung's major night markets, including Ruifeng, Liuhe, and Jilin, remained lively until late into the night, with customers queuing until 1 or 2 a.m. Sales were reported to be up more than 30% compared to usual.

The Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corp. (KRTC) also reported that the city's subway had its two busiest days so far this year in terms of ridership, carrying a total of 323,601 passengers on Saturday and 281,511 on Sunday.

One detail worth noting is that the city of Kaohsiung made extensive preparations to welcome fans from around the world before BLACKPINK's concert, illuminating six iconic locations with the group's signature pink lights, including the Aihe River, Dagang Bridge, the Kaohsiung Port Passenger Center, the Kaohsiung Popular Music Center, Kaohsiung Station, and Formosa Boulevard Station.

A K-pop dance competition was also held in the central business district, and temporary luggage storage was set up at major subway stations.

In another picturesque situation, former President of the Republic of China Tsai Ing-wen and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai posted photos of themselves with pink hair dyed for BLACKPINK's arrival. In Chen Chi-mai's case, in addition to the above, he personally promoted the event on social media and wrote: "BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA, the whole city is cheering for you."

BLACKPINK is currently the Highest-Grossing International Pop Act in the Kaohsiung’s history, selling over 190,000 tickets across 2023 & 2025, becoming the First act to bring two consecutive world tours and the K-pop artist with the Most shows ever held at the stadium (4), while also being the First K-pop Act to return for a second world tour run, proving their undeniable impact.
