IVE's Jang Won Young opened up about her honest thoughts on malicious comments.
On September 1, Davichi's Kang Min Kyung posted a video titled "WONYOUNG'S VLOG, Not Mine..." on her YouTube channel. In the video, Jang Won Young revealed her life and also sat down with Kang Min Kyung for a quality talk.
On this day, Jang Won Young visited Kang Min Kyung's studio and shared a deep conversation over a Jim Beam highball. Kang Min Kyung initiated the conversation and asked, "Don’t you ever get angry?" to which Jang Won Young replied, "I do get angry a lot. The most important person in my life is myself. For example, if work or certain situations force me to give up on myself, that makes me angry."

Kang Min Kyung, impressed by Jang Won Young's answer, replied, "So you get angry when you can't take the initiative (in your life)." They shared their life's philosophy and agreed, "I think you need to know what you like and lead your own life to be considerate of others." Jang Won Young added, " I think you have to know how to love yourself to love others."
During their talk, Kang Min Kyung also brought up the topic of malicious comments and shared how she doesn't understand individuals who spend time sharing mean comments about others. Kang Min Kyung elaborated, "Using a precious time in life to criticize others....When I saw you not even spending time to counterargue (malicious comments) even after all that..."

Jang Won Young shared, "I didn't care about them," and added, "I am used to it. I think it's because I'm used to it (malicious comments). And it's not like I did something wrong. So I think I didn't need to care about them. But when it comes to being about something I did wrong, or feedback, I think I was rather grateful and I wanted it." Jang Won Young shared, "(the malicious comments) don't really shake my core."
Impressed with Jang Won Young's strong mentality, Kang Min Kyung praised, "I think you have a stronger mentality than I do," to which Jang Won Young agreed, "I think I do have a strong mindset."
