On September 13, South Korean actress Han So Hee held her first fan meeting, ‘Xohee Loved Ones,’ at Cove Manila, Okada in the Philippines.
While not her first visit to the country, this event was the first time she came specifically to meet her fans.
So Hee shared her excitement, saying, “First of all, I’m very honored and blessed to have this come true to life. I’m very happy to see my fans face to face.”
Before the fan meeting, the actress attended the ‘Toronto International Film Festival’ in Canada for her latest film, ‘Project Y,’ which she stars in alongside Jeon Jong Seo.
To So Hee, the fan meeting was “a return gift to my fans who have given me unconditional and endless love.”
Beyond chatting and sharing recent life updates, So Hee played a game where she picked from her past characters.
When asked which would be the best travel companion, she chose Lee Eun Soo, a lyricist from ‘Soundtrack,’ over her roles in ‘My Name,’ ‘Gyeonseong Creature,’ and ‘Nevertheless.’
“Eun Soo has a very optimistic and positive character, so I think I would enjoy traveling with her,” she explained.
When the host reversed the question, asking which character she wouldn't travel with, So Hee replied that she would avoid Chae Ok from ‘Gyeongseong Creature,’ adding that the character is “dangerous.”
Among the roles of a psychopath, doctor, spy, and producer, the actress expressed a desire to play a psychopath in a drama, saying, “I think I can do pretty well.”
While waiting for the next segment, a special video was shown on the LED screen. So Hee shared its meaning before she went backstage, saying, “The reason why this came up to my mind is that I wanted to let you know how I think about you [my fans]. There are two symbols in the video: the color purple and the mannequin.”
The purple flowers symbolized how much So Hee loves, thinks about, and feels toward her fans. The mannequin, on the other hand, represented how fans are there for her when she is alone.
It was revealed that she personally financed and prepared the special video and its concept. “The film is my perspective of viewing the fans watching So Hee,” she explained.
Lines from the video included: “The fact that you guys have always been by my side, always in the same place” and “When I hear your voice, I’ll find it.”
Following the video, Han So Hee performed Jennie's “Seoul City” and aespa's “Whiplash,” delighting her fans.
Before the event ended, So Hee watched a video prepared by her fans. She was visibly emotional and teared up while watching it.
“Thank you so much for saying that I'm not alone,” she said. “There were so many times that I had to overcome struggles, but the fans are there to fill me up. So, moving forward, I'll be the one to protect you and be there for you.”
Meanwhile, So Hee is set to star as a company CEO in the upcoming project ‘Intern.’
Han So Hee’s ‘Xohee Loved Ones’ was presented by L-Squared Productions PH.
