Song Seung Heon has canceled a scheduled wrap-up interview in light of the sudden passing of his mother.
On September 21, his agency King Kong by Starship said that Ms. Moon Myeong Ok passed away at the age of 77. The wake is at Samsung Seoul Hospital Funeral Hall, Room 17, with visitation from 12:00 PM KST on September 21, 2025. The funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM KST on September 23, 2025. The youngest of two sons and one daughter, Song Seung Heon is staying at the wake with his siblings to receive visitors.
In a previous social post, Song Seung Heon wrote, “Dear Dad and Mom, I’m happy to be your son. Please stay healthy with me for a long, long time just like now. I love you.”
Song Seung Heon is currently starring as Dok Go Cheol in ENA’s Monday–Tuesday series 'My Troublesome Star' alongside Uhm Jung Hwa. The drama opened at 1.3% (Nielsen Korea, national paid-platform households) and has since surpassed 4%, with the finale set for September 24, 2025 KST. A press interview planned for September 25, 2025 KST has been called off as Song Seung Heon continues his period of mourning.
The agency added that all funeral procedures will be conducted privately and asked for warm condolences for Song Seung Heon and his family.
