Actor Song Joong Ki shared his candid thoughts on the topic of a wife meeting male friends for drinks.
Appearing as a guest alongside Chun Woo Hee on Yoo Yeon Seok’s YouTube series 'Weekend Yeonseokdrama segment Yoo Bar Lee Talk Bar', Song joined a discussion about relationships and opposite-sex friendships.
Chun Woo Hee remarked, “If my boyfriend’s female friend asked to meet him because she had worries, I wouldn’t understand why she would go to him. She could solve it herself—or these days, just ask ChatGPT,” drawing laughter.
When asked if it would be okay for his girlfriend to have drinks with a male friend, Yoo Yeon Seok responded, “If someone is going to cause trouble, they will regardless. If the plan is already made, I’d just say, ‘Have a good time,’ but I’d expect her to stay in touch.”
Song Joong Ki added, “I don’t really care that much either,” showing a laid-back attitude. However, when Chun Woo Hee asked, “What if she met him alone at 10 PM?” both Song and Yoo answered simultaneously: “There’s no reason to meet at that time. That’s when you should be sleeping—or watching our drama My Youth,” making everyone laugh.
Song Joong Ki married British actress Katy Louise Saunders last year. The couple has one son and one daughter together. His new JTBC Friday drama 'My Youth', co-starring Chun Woo Hee, will premiere on September 5.
