SM Entertainment’s male trainees are set to take on their very own reality variety show.
On September 17, SM Entertainment announced, "In collaboration with production company Egg is Coming, we will launch a time-slip themed coming-of-age variety show titled 'Reply High School.' SM’s male trainee team, SMTR25, along with unrevealed trainees, will be participating."
The cast of 'Reply High School' includes SMTR25 members as well as undisclosed trainees: Nicholas, Kassho, Justin, Hyunjun, Woorin, Hanbi, Songha, Kachin, Sadaharu, Tata, Daniel, Haruta, Hamin, Charlie, and Jaewon — a total of 15 trainees.
The 15 trainees will each be placed into concept rooms reflecting the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. Through classes and daily life, they will experience and showcase the culture and sentiment unique to those eras while also sharing their journey of chasing dreams.
The program brings together Producer Shin Hyo Jung and writer Kim Dae Joo, key creators behind tvN’s 'Nana bnb' and 'Nana Tour' series. 'Reply High School' is scheduled to air globally in the first half of next year.
Meanwhile, SMTR25 was first unveiled at the SMTOWN LIVE 2025 concert in Seoul this January, during a special 30th anniversary tribute stage. The group has since performed in Mexico City, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo, and was also introduced as next-generation K-pop leaders on the SBS-TV special program 'K-pop The Beginning: SMTOWN 30.'
