In Korean entertainment, idols often perform original soundtracks (OSTs) for their dramas and films. However, many non-idol actresses have taken their acting skills a step further by showcasing their impressive vocal abilities in the OSTs of their acting projects. These OSTs add authenticity and emotional depth to their characters, enabling audiences to feel a deeper connection to the narrative.

Here’s a look at ten South Korean actresses who added another layer to their performances by lending their voices to the OSTs of their own dramas and films.

Kim Tae Ri’s melodious voice has touched fans through multiple OSTs in both her films and dramas. Her notable contributions include “Segimalui Norae” (The Handmaiden), “Hidden Road by Lee Hanyeol” (1987: When the Day Comes), and “With” (Twenty-Five Twenty-One). The musical drama, 'Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born,’ further solidifies her vocal prowess.

Park Eun Bin

Park Eun Bin has delivered powerful vocals in several OSTs across her acting projects. Her songs include “A Little Love Story” (Operation Proposal), “The Blue Night of Jeju Island” (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), and multiple tracks for ‘Castaway Diva,’ including “Someday,” “Night and Day,” and “Dream Us,” etc.

She performed “Free Age” for ‘Scandal Makers,’ “My Prince” for ‘A Werewolf Boy,’ “Leave” for ‘Oh My Ghost,’ “Boiling Youth” for ‘Hot Young Bloods,’ and “Listen to Me” for ‘On Your Wedding Day.’ Her voice adds a nostalgic and heartfelt layer to her characters’ emotions.

What a Shiny Night,” “Canon,” “Me to You, You to Me,” and “Butterfly” from ‘Hospital Playlist,’ as well as “Amateur” and “Someday It’s Time to Shine” from ‘Resident Playbook.’
