Actor Jung Il Woo is stepping into the role of a film investor, choosing 'Together' (directed by Michael Shanks) as his first project.
'Together' is a mix of horror and romance, telling the story of a long-term couple whose relationship has hit a breaking point. After moving into a new home, they begin to experience a bizarre phenomenon in which their bodies gradually start to merge. The film was released on September 3 in Korea.
Jung Il Woo said, "It’s a unique piece that combines romance with body horror to question the essence of love and relationships. The film’s powerful message and fresh approach hold special meaning as J1’s first investment project."
He signaled that this is just the beginning of his journey as a film investor. A representative added, "With his sharp eye for quality, Jung Il Woo will continue to introduce fresh and distinctive films to Korean audiences."
Meanwhile, he is also keeping busy with his acting career. Since last month, he has been starring as Lee Ji Hyuk in KBS-2TV’s weekend drama 'Our Golden Days.' He also appears in the Korea-Vietnam co-production 'Leaving Mom' (directed by Mo Hong Jin).
