Singer Jeon Somi will officially be making her transition into acting with her first role in the upcoming horror-thriller film 'Perfect Girl.'
According to Deadline, she has been confirmed to join the cast alongside Arden Cho, known for her roles in 'Teen Wolf' and 'K-Pop Demon Hunters, ' along with Adeline Rudolph.
The film’s storyline revolves around the intense competition surrounding a new K-pop girl group set to make its debut. With only four positions available and the final lineup approaching, tensions escalate when a newcomer suddenly enters the picture. As the story unfolds, the trainees face unexpected dangers, leaving viewers to question who is behind the mysterious attacks and who will ultimately remain in the group.
Perfect Girl is written by Lynn Q. Yu and directed by Hong Won-ki, who previously worked on 'Goedam 'and is the founder of the Korean production company Zanybros. The film is being produced through a collaboration between Badlands, Thunder Road (the studio recognized for the John Wick franchise), and Arden Cho. According to reports, the movie will also include six original tracks, though it has not been confirmed whether Jeon Somi will participate in the music side of the project.
