IU has earned praise for her thoughtful gesture at her 2-day fan meetup concert 'Bye, Summer' held on September 13 and 14.
On an online forum, netizens highlighted how IU personally visited the wheelchair-accessible seating zone on both days during the show. Wanting to greet her fans up close, she walked across the large venue and high-touched the fans fan seated in the accessible area.
Acknowledging the accessibility challenges some fans face, IU made the effort herself to express gratitude for their presence and for joining her concert in person.
For fans who found it difficult to turn their wheelchairs around, IU leaned forward and placed herself in their line of sight, smiling directly at them and helping them take a selfie together.
By giving high fives and shaking hands individually, IU drew attention for her considerate manner and the warmth she spread throughout the venue.
