G-Dragon recently extended a special invitation to unsung heroes during his North American tour for his third world tour, 'Übermensch.'
The tour took place across New York (August 22–23), Las Vegas (August 31), and Los Angeles (September 5–6). At each venue, special guests were welcomed, including local firefighters and their families, thanks to the JUSPEACE Foundation, where G-Dragon serves as honorary chairman.
In New York, firefighters from the New York Fire Department were invited to show appreciation for their service, particularly for those exposed to post-traumatic stress from responding to wildfires, floods, and other emergencies.
This initiative is part of the JUSPEACE Foundation’s Art Therapy for Public Disaster-Related PTSD project, aiming to support psychological recovery through artistic experiences. In addition to firefighters, private volunteers were also invited. The foundation collaborated with the U.S. branch of Good Neighbors to welcome Korean-American nonprofit workers, social workers, and other community contributors.
The audience also included residents from shelters for victims of violence, bringing cultural experiences and comfort to those who have had limited opportunities for outside activities. Good Neighbors shared a heartfelt note from a female attendee: “This concert was a life-changing experience for me as someone who has suffered from trauma caused by violence.” She added, “Übermensch means fully embracing who I am. Thanks to G-Dragon and Good Neighbors, I found a chance to discover a better version of myself.”
G-Dragon’s 'Übermensch' concept emphasizes overcoming personal limits and striving to become a better self, reflecting a life dedicated to others as the essence of being an 'Übermensch.' The foundation plans to continue projects that support these “hidden heroes” in sustaining their vital work. Previously, during his Asian tour, Paralympic athletes were invited as special guests.
The JUSPEACE Foundation, launched by G-Dragon last year, is dedicated to public interest and social welfare projects, further highlighting the artist’s commitment to using his influence for societal good.
