Even in the middle of their ongoing world tour, BLACKPINK members have continued to make headlines on the global stage.
On September 14 (local time), Lisa attended the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. She recently made her Hollywood acting debut as Mook in HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3, which earned 23 nominations at this year’s ceremony.
Lisa turned heads on the red carpet in a pink petal-like gown with a high slit, accessorized with matching pink-toned jewelry and heels. Although ‘The White Lotus’ cast went home without a win, Lisa made a strong impression with her first-ever Emmy Awards appearance as an actress.
Just a week earlier on September 7, Rosé became the star of the night at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards in New York. Teaming up with American pop star Bruno Mars, she won ‘Song of the Year’ with their collaboration "APT.," becoming the first K-pop artist to take home a major award at the VMAs.
Rosé, who had been nominated in a record-setting eight categories, also drew attention when she delivered part of her acceptance speech in Korean, saying, “Members, I won an award. Thank you and I love you.”
With Rosé’s VMA win and her record-setting run on the Billboard Hot 100, expectations are already building for her chances at the 68th Grammy Awards next year.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK kicked off their third world tour "DEADLINE" on July 5, performing across North America and Europe until mid-August before taking a short break. Both Lisa and Rosé made waves by attending major U.S. award shows during this downtime, thrilling fans worldwide.
After renewing their contracts with YG Entertainment in December 2023, BLACKPINK released "JUMP" on July 11, marking their first comeback under the renewed deal. YG’s Yang Hyun Suk also revealed that the group’s upcoming release will be a mini album, with plans to drop it in November.
BLACKPINK will resume their tour on September 18 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, as fans eagerly await their long-anticipated album.
