BLACKPINK's Jennie proves once again why she's a viral hitmaker after her acclaimed song, "Like JENNIE," was the only track by an Asian artist chosen to feature on the soundtrack of "EA SPORTS FC 26".
Football, video game and now K-pop fans are in for a treat, as the video game of "EA Sports FC 26", the classic football simulation game, which has millions of players around the world year after year and is considered one of the biggest in the world of sports, will be officially released on September 26 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
Following the reputation that sports games and, in particular, previous FIFA titles have for their playlists, the soundtrack for "EA Sports FC 26" has been released, promising to be one of the most diverse the franchise has seen in over 20 years.
According to the executives, the soundtrack comprises global artists who have transcended borders with their music and established names considered the pinnacle of excellence, featuring a roster of 109 songs spanning more than 30 countries. Among the artists featured are Ed Sheeran, Young Miko, Rels B, Skepta, Pink Panthers, and many more, including BLACKPINK's Jennie.
Additionally, during a press conference, Electronic Arts Global Executive and President of Music, Steve Schnur, stated: "For more than two decades, EA SPORTS has shaped global culture by introducing millions of gamers to new, high-quality music, artists, and genres. FC 26 is one of the most diverse and bold soundtracks to date, one that will reflect the voice of the football community."
