The '2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan' is set to light up the Japan National Stadium this December, marking a historic milestone as the first K-pop concert ever held at the venue. The festival will take place over two nights, December 13 and 14, promising an unforgettable experience for fans.
According to SBS Sports News on September 12, this year’s festival will feature a stellar lineup of K-pop artists, including Stray Kids, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, IVE, &TEAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, ZEROBASEONE, and ILLIT, with more performers yet to be announced. Fans can expect dazzling performances from these chart-topping groups on one of Japan’s most iconic stages.
In recent years, KBS has hosted two major year-end music events, alternating between Korea and Japan. In Korea, the festival is celebrated as the “K-Pop Festival.” while in Japan, it takes the form of the 'Music Bank Global Festival in Japan,' bringing top K-pop artists to audiences in both countries for massive, high-energy performances.
This year’s edition aims to match the global influence of K-pop with an even bigger stage. The Tokyo National Stadium, renowned as a “dream stage” among Japanese artists, is highly selective in granting performance rights and can accommodate over 60,000 fans, making it a landmark location for large-scale concerts.
Last year, the festival was held at the Mizuho PayPay Dome in Fukuoka. This year, organizers plan to expand the scale significantly, moving to the prestigious Tokyo National Stadium, often called a “glorious stage” in Japan. With top K-pop acts expected to perform, anticipation is high for the spectacular, star-studded performances that will take center stage this December.
