Stray Kids member Changbin celebrated his birthday in the most meaningful way possible - by giving back.
On August 11, in honor of his birthday, Changbin donated 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000 USD) to Samsung Medical Center. The funds will go toward covering surgery and treatment costs for underprivileged pediatric and adolescent patients, as well as programs that help provide emotional support during their recovery.
“I’m deeply grateful to be able to return the love I’ve received from fans on my birthday and to offer a small ray of hope to children in need,” Changbin shared. “I hope my contribution will aid in their recovery and healthy growth.”
A representative from Samsung Medical Center expressed appreciation for his generosity, stating, “Changbin’s warm heart and donation will be a great source of strength for patients and their families. We will ensure the funds are used meaningfully for the children’s treatment and recovery.”
This is not the first time Changbin has taken part in charitable acts. In 2025, he and his fellow Stray Kids members donated to Hope Bridge and World Vision to aid in wildfire recovery efforts in South Korea’s Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions. In 2023, he contributed to The Promise, an international relief organization, in support of emergency aid for the Türkiye–Syria earthquake, earning him recognition as a member of the Honors Club.
Stray Kids recently concluded their massive World Tour, performing 54 shows across 34 cities and making K-pop touring history. The group is now preparing for their long-awaited comeback with their 4th full-length album “KARMA” and its title track “CEREMONY”, set for release on August 22 at 1 PM KST.
