MONSTA X has officially entered comeback mode.
On August 5th KST, their agency Starship Entertainment released a schedule poster for their upcoming mini album ‘THE X’ via the group’s official social media channels. Designed like a flyer, the poster revealed a packed schedule of teaser content, drawing attention from fans around the globe.
According to the schedule, MONSTA X will kick things off with the tracklist reveal on August 8th, followed by the release of concept photos for the ‘Unknown X’ and ‘Hello X’ versions on August 10th and 12th, respectively — gradually building anticipation for their return.
On August 16th, a music video teaser for the pre-release track will be unveiled, with the full digital release of the song scheduled for August 18th. The group will continue the momentum with a performance video drop on August 21st.
Following the pre-release, the group will keep the excitement going with even more teasers: the ‘Underdog X’ and ‘XX’ version concept photos on August 23rd and 25th, a music video teaser for the title track on August 30th, and an album preview on August 31st, all leading up to the official comeback on September 1st. The phrase “Remix drop soon!” printed at the bottom of the poster has further fueled global fans’ excitement.
Shortly after the release of the schedule poster, a surprise trailer for ‘THE X’ was also unveiled. The video, reminiscent of traditional Korean artwork, blended stunning cinematography with MONSTA X’s signature intensity. At the end of the trailer, a poignant English narration by I.M states: “Ten years is not the end — it’s the beginning of something entirely new,” leaving a lasting impression.
Set to drop on September 1st, ‘THE X’ marks a symbolic album celebrating the group’s 10th debut anniversary. The album title refers to both “the one and only unknown variable” and the endless possibilities it holds — while also representing the Roman numeral X (10). Through this release, MONSTA X is expected to reinterpret familiar elements in their own way and once again make a bold impact on the K-pop scene.
Recently, MONSTA X took the stage as a full group at 'KCON LA 2025' for the first time in 9 years, showcasing their seasoned performance skills in honor of their 10th year. They also appeared on major U.S. TV programs including CBS Los Angeles’ ‘KCAL News’ and KTLA’s ‘KTLA Morning News’, gaining international spotlight. With their domestic comeback in September, they’re expected to continue a strong wave of activity both at home and abroad.
