KBS2 has confirmed the casting lineup for its upcoming weekend miniseries 'Last Summer' (written by Jeon Yu Ri, directed by Min Yeon Hong), set to premiere this November. The drama will feature Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun in the lead roles.
Billed as a "remodeling romance," 'Last Summer' tells the story of childhood friends who are forced to confront long-hidden truths about their first love, unlocking the emotional Pandora’s box of their past.
Lee Jae Wook takes on the challenge of a dual role, portraying twin brothers Baek Do Ha and Baek Do Young. After their parents’ divorce, one brother grows up in the United States while the other remains in Korea. Do Ha visits Korea every summer break for exactly 21 days, spending time with his twin, their father’s close friend, and the friend’s daughter at a small “peanut house” built by their father.

Choi Sung Eun will play Song Ha Kyung, a government employee in the architecture field. While she develops feelings for Do Ha, she later learns about a shocking incident from their past, which stirs anger and conflict between them.
Director Min Yeon Hong, known for 'The Impossible Heir' and 'Missing: The Other Side,' will helm the project, while the script is penned by Jeon Yu Ri, who previously wrote 'Radio Romance.'
The production team commented, “Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun will deliver a compelling romantic chemistry. With its fresh premise and layered storytelling, 'Last Summer' will captivate viewers.”
'Last Summer' is scheduled to air as the follow-up to 'Walking on Thin Ice' and will premiere in November.
