Yuqi of i-dle is gearing up for her highly anticipated solo return.
A representative from Cube Entertainment told Dispatch on August 12, “Yuqi is currently preparing a new album with the goal of making a comeback in September. Please look forward to it.”
Yuqi made her solo debut last year with her first mini-album 'YUQ1,' which received widespread acclaim. Despite it being her first solo release in six years since debuting, she showcased overwhelming talent and solid artistry.
'YUQ1' went on to become a half-million seller, surpassing 550,000 copies in first-week sales. It ranked third in the history of K-pop female solo artists for highest first-week sales and set the record for the best-selling mini-album by a female soloist.
In March, Yuqi released the digital single "Radio (Dum-Dum)," blending trendy melodies with her captivating low-register vocals to deliver a hip-hop R&B sound.
Yuqi has also proven her prowess as a producer. In June, she showcased her skills through work with Nows, and has her name credited on multiple tracks for both i-dle’s albums and her solo projects.
Meanwhile, i-dle is set to perform at Japan’s largest music festival, 'SUMMER SONIC 2025,' on August 16–17.
