Comedian Kim Byung Man has publicly introduced his soon-to-be wife, expressing heartfelt affection as the couple prepares for their wedding this September.
On TV CHOSUN’s hyper-realistic documentary-style variety show 'Chosun's Real Romantic,' Kim openly shared his emotions for his fiancée, marking the first time she has been revealed to the public. Kim, who finalized his divorce last year, previously disclosed that his bride-to-be is a mother of two children.
In the episode airing on August 25, Kim described his wife-to-be with touching words: “It felt like meeting a bottle of fresh cold water from the fridge just when someone is about to collapse in the desert. That’s who she is to me.”
Reflecting on his past struggles, Kim added: “Honestly, I just wanted to fall into her arms. I had gone through so much hardship.”
Known as the “icon of trust” among teammates during his years of surviving harsh jungles and wild expeditions, Kim revealed his longing for true companionship: “I wanted love, a home, a relationship where I could be closest to my true self.”
He continued by drawing a moving metaphor about his wife: “To me, she is not just my spouse. She is my home, a home I want to return to. Inside that home are all the things I love. She is the only woman like that in the world.”
The show also featured a touching VCR segment in which Kim’s wife lovingly approached him during an interview, carefully preparing his medicine, a display of deep affection that reflected her devotion.
