Actor Park Si Hoo has firmly denied the online rumors claiming he was involved in introducing countless women to a married man, in turn breaking up a family. His side has claimed the actor will be seeking strong legal action.
On August 7, Park Si Hoo's agency, Hoo Factory, released an official statement declaring the rumors to be completely false. The agency specifically addressed a post alleging that "Actor Park Si Hoo introduced a woman to a married man and played a significant role in breaking up a family," stating, "The contents of the post are groundless and entirely untrue," and confirmed that legal action is underway.
The controversy began on August 5, when a woman known as an influencer mentioned Park Si Hoo by name on her social media, accusing him of destroying her family. She wrote, "Hey Park Si Hoo. You used to call me sister-in-law when my family lived in UN Village. But it turns out you've been hooking Hwang up with women since 2020," expressing her anger.
She continued threatening the actor by saying, "You should have known your limits. You connected women to the father of my child. You played a major role in the destruction of my family. I have phone recordings. Heard you're in a new drama. Congrats. I have a gift for you. Sue me. I've already lost my child and have nothing left to lose." She also released what she claimed were screenshots of text messages and a photo of the woman as evidence.
Immediately following the controversy, Park Si Hoo's side denied the claims. A representative from the agency told the press, "The accusations are entirely untrue. We don't know the person mentioned in the post at all, and we will release an official statement shortly."
As the controversy gained traction, others involved spoke out through social media. The woman appearing in the text messages stated, "I've never met or had any connection with the people mentioned in the post," directly denying the claims.
Additionally, the ex-husband of the woman who made the post gave an interview denying any connection between himself and Park Si Hoo. He stated, "Park Si Hoo and I are simply hometown acquaintances. I was never introduced to a woman by him. I divorced 'A' six years ago. Park Si Hoo has no involvement with my family. It appears she made this post to demand money," adding that he has apologized to Park Si Hoo.
Park Si Hoo's agency reiterated their commitment to clearing his name and stated, "We will fully cooperate with the police investigation and ensure that criminal proceedings move forward promptly. Through the investigation, we will reveal that the post is based on false information."
Park Si Hoo was previously involved in a legal case in 2013 over sexual assault allegations, but the case was dropped after the accuser withdrew the complaint. He resumed his acting career in 2016 with OCN's 'Local Hero,' and has since appeared in 'Lovely Horribly,' 'Babel,' and 'Kingmaker: The Change of Destiny.'

We have appointed legal counsel (Attorney Kang Jin Seok of ENT Law Office) and are preparing to take civil and criminal legal measures, including filing a request for mediation with the Press Arbitration Commission and suing those who spread these false claims for defamation.
We are also gathering evidence against those who continue to spread unverified lies or post malicious slander about actor Park Si Hoo. These actions will likewise be met with criminal complaints through our legal representative. Considering the significant harm inflicted on the actor, we will not show any leniency.
