Kwon Jung Yeol of 10CM has been officially selected as the eighth MC of KBS’s flagship music talk show ‘The Seasons’.
During the encore stage of his solo concert ‘5.0’ at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul on August 10th (KST), Kwon Jung Yeol surprised fans by revealing the news himself.
Near the end of the performance, he announced, “I’m the next MC of ‘The Seasons’, following ‘Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile’,” prompting an eruption of cheers from the audience.
He added, “I’m both nervous and excited to host under my own name. The program will air every Friday starting in September,” raising anticipation.
‘The Seasons’, which began in 2023, has featured top Korean artists including Jay Park, Choi Jung Hoon of Jannabi, AKMU, Lee Hyo Ri, Zico, Lee Young Ji, and Park Bo Gum as relay MCs.
10CM holds the record for the most appearances across both ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’ and the ‘The Seasons’ series.
His upcoming role as host carries special significance, as he will continue the tradition and value of the long-running music talk show format.
As the first indie band to hold a solo concert at the KSPO DOME (formerly the Olympic Gymnastics Arena), 10CM has set milestones in the music industry, producing numerous hits such as “Stalker”, “Phonecert”, and “Gradation”.
His recent release “To Reach You” topped digital charts for an extended period, proving his enduring popularity.
With his addition to ‘The Seasons’, viewers can look forward to experiencing Kwon Jung Yeol’s rich musicality, witty stage presence, and emotional charm up close.
Having grown alongside KBS’s late-night music programming, his unique artistry and candid storytelling as MC are expected to bring a fresh synergy to the show, offering audiences an even richer musical experience.
