Every year, students at Uijeongbu High School in Gyeonggi Province gain attention for their inventive graduation photos. This year is no exception as they've once again shared witty and creative parody images.
On July 21, Uijeongbu High School posted several photos on its student council's official Instagram, showcasing scenes from the recent graduation photo shoot held on campus. The photos featured a wide range of parody photos of the latest buzz.
The most talked-about concept this year was a parody of HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk. The students recreated a viral moment from last August, when Bang Si Hyuk was spotted walking with female streamer Juicy Seyeon on the streets of Beverly Hills, California.

Another student garnered attention by dressing as singer Kwon Eun Bi, who recently made headlines for her bold outfit at the Waterbomb Festival. The student mimicked her look with denim shorts, a bikini top, and a red shirt, even recreating the choreography she showcased during her performance.

One student portrayed the recent SK Telecom USIM chip crisis, which occurred in April following an unprecedented hacking incident. Painting their face yellow and adding black stripes to resemble a USIM chip, the student delivered a clever and timely graduation photo. Other students also recreated popular memes and celebrities.

Since 2009, Uijeongbu High School has gained widespread recognition for its humorous and trend-savvy graduation photos that capture major cultural and societal moments of the year. It’s said that many students begin planning their concepts as early as the start of their senior year.

In the past, the school gained both praise and controversy for political satire, including impersonations of politicians, which led to defamation complaints from some groups. Currently, graduation photo shoots are conducted with prior coordination between the student council and school staff to avoid issues.
