On the July 30 episode of tvN’s popular variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' (Episode 304), a lineup of unique guests took part in a relay-style talk segment.
Guests included Korea’s top freestyle jump rope athletes Lee Sung Jun, Kim Nam Kyung, Kim Dong Young, and Kim Tae Rin; folk village ghost actors Choi Jung Eun and Noh Eun Sook; Korea’s only animal nutritionist Song Tae Wook; and entertainer-turned-CEO Song Eun Yi, also known by her nickname “Song-CEO.”
Introducing herself, Song Eun Yi said, “I’m a comedian with 32 years of experience and an entrepreneur of 10 years.”
Host Yoo Jae Suk responded, “You really fit the image of a business leader now. Your company has grown, and I heard you even have a grand building in Sangam-dong.”
When asked about the “100 billion KRW (approx. $77 million) CEO” title, Song replied with a laugh, “I don’t know where that came from. I don’t actually have 100 billion KRW (approx. $77 million), but I wasn’t offended by the label, so I just left it alone.”
Co-host Jo Se Ho mentioned, “I heard your building is worth about 7 billion KRW (approx. $5.4 million),” to which Song clarified, “It wasn’t purchased as an investment. I renovated it so we could film content anywhere in the building. It was an investment in production infrastructure.”
Song Eun Yi also shared how her company started with just five employees and has since grown to a team of 50. Despite the growth, she humbly revealed, “My monthly salary is only 3 million KRW (approx. $2,300). I hope our team continues to grow, and maybe I can at least raise our meal stipends someday.”
'You Quiz on the Block' is a variety show where hosts Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho meet and converse with people from various walks of life. It airs every Wednesday at 8:45 PM KST on tvN.
