On July 25, Lee Minwoo of Shinhwa shared the news of his marriage through a handwritten letter posted on Instagram.
In the letter, Lee wrote that he and someone he has known for a long time have confirmed their feelings for each other and decided to become a family. He reflected on recent emotional challenges, saying that spending more time with his family helped him rediscover its meaning. He also shared that he had always quietly hoped to one day build a home with someone who could be his strength.
Lee expressed deep affection for his fans, known as Shinhwa Changjo. He acknowledged that the sudden announcement might surprise them and said it took him a long time to decide how to share the news. He added that he wanted to be the one to tell them first, knowing how disappointed they might feel if they heard it from somewhere else.
Looking back on his career, Lee recalled his journey since debuting with Shinhwa in 1998. He said he had been lucky to receive so much love and support from fans throughout his teens, twenties, and thirties. Thanks to Shinhwa Changjo, he said, every moment on stage as Lee Minwoo had been filled with happiness.
He also reassured fans that his career will continue. While this marks the beginning of a new chapter in his personal life, he said he will keep going with the love of his fans and family as his driving force and promised to remain active in his work.
Lee ended the letter with a warm message of appreciation. He thanked fans for reading his long message late at night and wished them sweet dreams.
Although Lee Minwoo has been active in various fields, including solo music and his first solo art exhibition, he did not share specific details about the wedding date or his fiancée.
