SAY MY NAME is officially transitioning from a seven-member to an eight-member team with the addition of new member SHUIE.
On July 10, iNKODE Entertainment announced via social media, “Starting today, SAY MY NAME will operate as an eight-member group, up from the previous seven-member lineup.”
SHUIE, the new member, is of Chinese nationality and was introduced alongside an official visual photo. Her graceful and innocent appearance immediately drew attention, adding a fresh charm to the group.
The agency expressed their understanding of the mixed emotions fans may feel with the lineup change, stating, “We deeply empathize with the range of emotions fans may be experiencing. In light of this change, we promise to approach you with even greater sincerity.”
iNKODE also reassured fans of the group’s core values, saying, “We will continue to uphold SAY MY NAME’s unique identity and team spirit. Please continue to support us with warmth and encouragement.”
SAY MY NAME is a rookie girl group produced by renowned artist Kim Jaejoong. The group officially debuted in October last year with their self-titled track “SAY MY NAME.” They have since garnered global attention, with GRAMMY naming them one of the new artists to watch in 2024.
