Chef Maeng Ki Yong, known for his unique culinary style on 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,' has announced his marriage.
On July 22, Chef Maeng shared the news on his Instagram with a post showing his wedding with the caption, "We're married." In the photo, Maeng Ki Yong is seen wearing a tuxedo and smiling joyfully alongside his bride. The couple is also seen proudly showing their wedding rings, marking the beginning of a new chapter together.
Meanwhile, Chef Maeng first gained public recognition in 2014 through his appearance on the EBS program 'The Best Cooking Secrets.' In 2015, he gained wider recognition after joining JTBC's popular variety show 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.'
He especially left a lasting impression with a unique dish called "Maeng Morning," which he created using Pacific saury for a mission where Jinu from Jinusean requested a dish suited to the tastes of Korean-American elementary schoolers. The unfamiliar and eccentric flavors of the dish became a hot topic for days after the episode aired, cementing Maeng’s distinct cooking style in viewers’ memories.
Though he continued to appear on various cooking shows, Maeng Ki Yong eventually retired from the food industry and chose a new path. He transitioned into a full-time modeling career and is now actively working in Poland.
