On June 12, renowned actor Park Seo Joon took time to answer some questions from the press at the media conference ahead of his ‘Ultimate Fan Fest’ fan meeting in Manila.
This marks Seo Joon’s first event in the Philippines since his fan meeting in October 2023, returning this time as the global ambassador for the local canned tuna brand, Century Tuna.
When asked about the brand reaching out, Seo Joon shared, “It was an honor for me to receive such a call and such an invitation. But of course, I kind of feel sorry to the Century Tuna team as well because, due to the current role that I am going through, I have lost a lot of weight. That’s why I’m not a 'Superbod' right now.”
He added, “But seeing how the brand, the direction it’s going to and the cause that it’s supporting, it made me say yes. It was a very great honor for me.”
With Century Tuna's focus on food and fitness, Seo Joon was asked about his own routine.
“As time passed by, I realized that the most important health we must maintain is our mental health. And for us to have a healthy mind, we must first have a healthy body,” he shared.
On his go-to workout routine, he revealed, “I start off by stretching for 30 minutes then I would do my weight training for around 30 to 40 minutes. After that, I try my best to run for 5 km.”
He then shared his piece of advice, “I always see a lot of people around me saying that, ‘I have to start working out, I have to start this and that.’ But whenever I see that, sometimes they don’t. And what I want to tell them is, you just have to start moving, don’t think what you’re doing, just start. And while you do that, you’ll see the different results and you’ll feel the satisfaction coming from working out.”
Seo Joon was also asked about his upcoming drama, 'Waiting for Gyeongdo,' where he plays the role of Lee Gyeong Do alongside Woo Ji An, who will portray Seo Ji Woo.
“The reason I said yes to this role is because I think that this is a character that can show what I can do, the best things that I can do,” the actor said.
“It’s actually a drama that tackles the first love that we all experience and I’m sure that you guys can relate to the different stories here because this is something that we all can experience.”
Park Seo Joon’s ‘Ultimate Fan Fest’ fan meeting in Manila was presented by Century Tuna and Wilbros Live.
