On an online forum, users discussed possible influences behind the characters in Saja Boys from the global Netflix hit movie 'KPop Demon Hunters.' One netizen in particular pointed out that elements of the character Romance appeared to be inspired by Yeonjun, based on early concept designs that resemble his past stage outfits and hairstyles.
Comparing the initial sketches of Romance to the final version, the netizen noted that Yeonjun’s iconic pink turtleneck and his yellow sweater paired with jeans closely match the character’s look in the film.
The discussion also highlighted Romance’s long pink hair, which shares similarities with Yeonjun’s slightly longer, layered pink hairstyle from previous performances.
While Saja Boys members were not each modeled after a specific idol, many believe the production team drew visual inspiration from a number of well-known artists. The creators of KPop Demon Hunters have confirmed that groups like TXT, BTS, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, BIG BANG, and MONSTA X were among their references when designing the group.
