Ladies' Code member Ashley revealed she is opening a new chapter of her life after breaking up with her boyfriend of 6 years.
Earlier this week, Ashley revealed that she had traveled to New York to spend time with family and friends, using the opportunity to heal from her recent breakup. On July 21, Ashley shared about her journey on her YouTube channel.
She began by sharing, "Uh, I am back to living alone," and added, "It's been almost 2 weeks since I moved in. I still have bags of clothes that I haven't been able to organize yet because I was pretty busy right after moving." Ashley then candidly confessed, "I'm just going to say it. So, I broke up with my boyfriend of 6 years. That's the reason why I went to New York, because it was really hard to be in Korea."
Ashley filled fans in on her life during the time she spent in New York and shared that she was with family and friends, healing from the breakup.
While she opened up about the struggles of heartbreak and starting over after living with her boyfriend for so long, she eventually explained she is ready to start a new chapter.
She said, "This is part of life. I'm sure some of you guys are going through a breakup right now, too. This should be talked about more, right? How things end even when you don't want them to. And no matter how hard you try, sometimes it just doesn't work out. It's been two months since it happened, and I'm still healing from it. It's not like I'm totally over it. Of course, how can I just be over it that short amount of time?"
She concluded by sharing, "But I wanted to document my new journey of living alone again and share in hopes that you know you guys will be able to relate to it and be comforted by it too."
