Kim Hyun Joong, a former member of SS501, has shared a recent photo with fellow member Kim Kyu Jong, delighting fans with a heartwarming update.
On July 29th KST, Kim Hyun Joong took to Instagram to post a picture of the two visiting a famous tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) alley in Seoul.
He captioned the post:
“Was it during the time we were living at our dorm in Geumho-dong? On nights when we had nothing to do, Kyu Jong and I would wander over to the Sindang-dong tteokbokki alley and try to figure out which place served the best tteokbokki. We ended up comparing about a dozen spots.”
He continued,
“After roaming the area night after night, we finally decided our favorite was ‘Ujeong Tteokbokki.’ Back then, it was usually empty, and we could always eat comfortably.”
Now, Kim Hyun Joong noted,
“That same Ujeong Tteokbokki has become one of the busiest restaurants in Sindang-dong. You can’t eat there without lining up. It makes me weirdly proud and happy to know that our taste from 18 years ago was right.”
The photo shows the two artists pointing toward the bustling restaurant in the alley, with a crowd lined up outside. Both still sport vibrant hairstyles and eye-catching visuals, maintaining their signature charm.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, and Kim Kyu Jong of SS501 recently reunited to form the trio unit FIVE O ONE. They celebrated their 20th debut anniversary with fans at a special concert held at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park on July 12th and 13th.
