Actor Jung Woo Sung has reappeared in the public eye for the first time in eight months following a period of controversy surrounding his private life.
On July 15, literary critic Ham Don Gyun shared a photo of Jung holding a copy of Sasangge, a Korean intellectual magazine, on his social media. Alongside the image, Ham wrote, "Actor Jung Woo Sung, who is supporting the revival of Sasangge, a magazine I serve as an editorial board member for, has subscribed to the publication. Thank you."
The update quickly drew public attention as it marked Jung’s first appearance since his personal life made headlines last year. In November, Jung surprised the public when it was revealed that he had become a father to a son with former model Moon Ga Bi. At the time, Jung stated that he would fulfill his responsibilities as a father.
More recently, in April, photos of Jung and longtime friend Lee Jung Jae surfaced on Chinese social media, showing the two actors spending time in China. Artist Company, which represents Jung, clarified that while they met with representatives from six to seven entertainment companies, it was not for business purposes. They also confirmed that Jung met with Chinese actress Zhou Dongyu simply to exchange greetings.
Meanwhile, Jung Woo Sung is set to return to the screen in the upcoming Disney+ series 'Made in Korea.'
