Singer and actress IU made a surprise appearance as the final guest on KBS2’s 'The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile', creating a wave of emotion and excitement among fans.
During the show’s final taping on July 22 KST, Park Bo Gum was watching a pre-recorded video message from IU when she suddenly appeared in person, saying, “I felt so bad about not coming… so I came myself.” The unexpected moment left Park Bo Gum visibly emotional. He stood up, clapped in shock, and eventually wiped away tears with a tissue, while the studio audience responded with enthusiastic cheers.
IU further melted hearts by kneeling to present him a bouquet of flowers, creating a romantic scene that quickly went viral. Fans couldn’t help but draw parallels to their characters Oh Ae-soon and Yang Gwan-shik from the Netflix drama 'When Life Gives You Tangerines', commenting, “Ae-soon and Gwan-shik forever,” and “How can I ever forget ‘Tangerines’? This was pure romance.”
Many netizens also remarked that they had anticipated IU would be the show’s final guest, with comments like “I just knew it had to be IU,” and “I’ve been waiting for this moment.”
