Singer and actress IU gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the 'Blue Dragon Series Awards' through her Instagram post on July 19. Titled 'Blue Dragon Series Awards,' she shared a series of stunning photos from the event.
The images show IU attending the '4th Blue Dragon Series Awards,' which took place on July 18 at Paradise City in Incheon. On this night, she received two major honors: Best Actress and the Popular Star Award, achieving a double win.
The Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' starring IU, was a major winner of the evening. It received a total of four awards including the Grand Prize (Daesang), Best Actress (IU), Best Supporting Actress (Yeom Hye Ran), and Popular Star Awards (IU and Park Bo Gum).
IU also posted photos with her co-stars from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' including Park Bo Gum, Yeom Hye Ran, Choi Dae Hoon, and Kang You Seok.
Dressed in an elegant gown, she captioned her post with a message of gratitude:“Upbit Popular Star Award, Best Actress, and Daesang, thank you so much. I had such a wonderful time. Thank you, 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' team!”
In addition, IU is currently filming the drama '21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife' alongside Byeon Woo Seok. The series is set in a fictional version of South Korea, which operates under a constitutional monarchy in the 21st century.
It tells the story of a woman who has everything as a chaebol but is frustrated by her commoner status, and a royal prince who holds a title but is unable to have anything. The drama explores their emotional journey and challenges to overcome social status through love.
