Rookie girl group ILLIT has proven their explosive popularity once again, this time in Japan.
According to BELIFT LAB on July 8th KST, all general seating tickets for '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN'—titled 'GLITTER DAY'—have completely sold out. The concert will take place four times: August 10th and 11th at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Kanagawa, and September 3rd and 4th at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka.
Remarkably, ILLIT sold out all fan concert tickets in Japan despite not yet releasing an official Japanese album. In response to overwhelming demand, additional restricted-view and standing-room tickets will be made available via Lawson Ticket on July 9th at 8 PM (JST).
This comes after the group sold out all seats for the Seoul edition of 'GLITTER DAY' in advance sales last month, held on July 7th and 8th at Olympic Park.
Interest in ILLIT across Japan has been reflected in recent mid-year charts. Their first original Japanese single Almond Chocolate, released in February, surpassed 50 million streams on Oricon (as of July 7th), making it the most-streamed song by an international female act released in the first half of 2025. It also became the only K-pop group song to be listed on Amazon Music Japan’s Top 50 Overall Mid-Year Chart.
Additionally, ILLIT is the only K-pop artist to chart two songs—"Magnetic" and "Almond Chocolate"—on the mid-year rankings from Billboard Japan and Rakuten Music.
Their latest mini album bomb, released on June 16th, also resonated strongly with Japanese fans. It surpassed the first-week sales of their previous album within just one day of release and quickly topped the major album charts on both Oricon and Billboard Japan.
