Former Rainbow member and actress No Eul, now a café owner, has publicly responded to a customer complaint that sparked widespread online debate about service expectations and common sense.
On July 28, No Eul took to Instagram to vent her frustration over a negative review her café received. In a post set to B1A4’s “What’s Going On,” she wrote, “This is driving me absolutely crazy.”
The controversy stemmed from a delivery order of 1-liter watermelon juice. According to screenshots shared by No Eul, the customer had requested the drink without ice and later complained that the drink weighed only 688 grams, including the bottle. They rated the café 2 out of 5 stars and claimed, “If removing the ice cuts 500g from the drink, then it should be sold as a 500ml watermelon juice, not a 1-liter one. This photo was taken before even one sip. Isn’t this false advertising?”

In a sharply worded response, No Eul fired back: “People who are truly unreasonable don’t even realize they are. You ordered a 1-liter iced drink without ice and now complain it looks like less? Ice is part of the volume. Recipes are created with the ice included. If you didn’t want it to look smaller, why ask to remove the ice?”
She continued, “I never told you 500g would be removed. The base size is 500ml, and when you order a 1-liter iced drink, half of that volume is ice. So when you ask for no ice, of course it looks less. What kind of conversation can I even have with someone who doesn’t understand basic logic? Even the delivery app representative was stuck in the middle.”
No Eul, clearly exasperated, also appealed to fellow café workers: “Can anyone who’s worked in a café relate? If you remove ice from an iced drink, of course the volume decreases. Why is that hard to understand? We followed the recipe and provided the correct amount. I’m meeting all kinds of people right before I close the café. Let’s just laugh it off… though I don’t think I can. Why do I have to deal with this? I did exactly what they asked, and in return, I get a 2-star review. It’s maddening.”
No Eul had previously announced that she would be stepping away from running her café by the end of July. Reflecting on her experience as a small business owner, she wrote,“I was happy to fulfill my dream of running my own café, but it’s been incredibly tough, just like for many small business owners. Managing the store, dealing with various customers and employees… it all took a toll. I became more irritable and even found myself snapping at my husband. That’s when I realized: I need to take a break. Everyone struggles, but I believe good rest is essential for moving forward, and that’s why I made this decision.”
