Choi Yoo Jung and Cha Eun Woo are both under Fantagio Entertainment, sharing the same agency. Despite Cha Eun Woo’s packed schedule following his rise in global popularity through appearances in hit dramas like 'Squid Game,' the idol-actor made time to personally say goodbye to fans before his enlistment. Choi Yoo Jung’s visit to his enlistment site served as a touching gesture of genuine friendship.
Cha Eun Woo officially began his mandatory military service on July 28 and is set to serve in the Army’s military band. A day before enlistment, he held a YouTube live broadcast where he revealed his new buzz cut, saying, “It feels surreal that this day has come for me too. This is the shortest my hair has been since I was about 2 or 3 years old.” He added, “I’ll stay healthy and do my best. I wish everyone good luck in whatever you’re doing.”
The enlistment site was swarmed with fans and attention, with many sharing reactions online such as, “Cha Eun Woo has replaced my son as my top viewing priority today,” and “Sorry, son, but Eun Woo caught my eye first.” Social media was abuzz with excitement, even jokingly coining the phrase “change in viewing subject” to describe the scene.
