Girl group Apink recently shared a group photo showing a joyful reunion — but the absence of Son Naeun has rekindled rumors of discord. However, looking back at past interviews and the members’ ongoing bond, many fans are calling this controversy an overblown misunderstanding.
Apink members Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, Jung Eunji, and Kim Namjoo recently gathered to celebrate a birthday and posted a cheerful group photo on social media. Their long-standing friendship and enduring camaraderie brought smiles to longtime fans.
However, Son Naeun was notably absent from the gathering, leading to speculation about why she didn’t attend — and even rumors of conflict. Son Naeun officially left the group in 2022 to pursue a solo acting career, and her absence at this reunion fueled fan concerns.
Yet in a September 2024 interview, Son Naeun made it clear she still supports her former members, saying:
“I always keep up with what the members are doing, and I cheer them on from afar.”
She even praised Jung Eunji’s drama 'Miss Day and Night' saying:
“I watched some episodes here and there — the project did really well, and it felt like a great passing of the torch.”
After her departure, Naeun also expressed interest in returning to music someday, saying:
“It’s not that I’ve given up on music. If the opportunity arises, I’d love to do it again.”
She also shared her hopes to reconnect with fans through a fan meeting in the future.
